Hiding profiles

Hiding a profile removes the member from your Nearby grids. It is used primarily to fine-tune the members displayed in your Nearby grid without blocking them.

 

It is important to remember that hiding a profile does not:

  • remove it from your Favorites, if you have added it;
  • remove it from your Messages, if you are or have recently exchanged text or picture messages;
  • remove your profile from Nearby or Search grids of the member you have hidden;
  • prevent the hidden member from viewing your profile;
  • prevent the hidden member from rating their interest in meeting you;
  • prevent the hidden member from sharing their private album with you; or
  • prevent the hidden member from messaging or woofing you.

    NOTE: Hides and Blocks share the same limit and are not visually differentiated in Manage Hides/Blocks.

 

Hide a profile

ANDROID

  1. While viewing the member's profile, tap the menu icon (3 vertical dots, top-right corner).
  2. Tap Hide in the menu that appears.
  3. Tap Hide again to confirm.

IOS

  1. While viewing the member's profile, tap Ø (top-right corner).
  2. Tap Hide in the menu that appears.
  3. Tap Hide again to confirm.

Manage or Remove a Hidden Profile

You can view and manage the profiles you have hidden or blocked in the Manage Hides/Blocks menu found below:

ANDROID

  1. Launch Jack'd.
  2. Tap Account.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Tap Manage Hides/Blocks.
    • To un-hide or un-block a profile, simply tap on its entry in the list.
    • To un-hide or un-block all profiles, tap Menu (3 vertical dots, top-right corner), then tap Unblock All in the menu that appears. Please note that this action cannot be undone!

IOS

  1. Launch Jack'd.
  2. Tap Account.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Tap Manage Hides/Blocks.
    • To un-hide or un-block a profile, simply tap on its entry in the list.
    • To un-hide or un-block all profiles, tap (X) (top-right corner), then tap Unblock All in the menu that appears. Please note that this action cannot be undone!
