Privacy matters.
As one the largest queer-owned software companies in the world, and publisher of two of the most widely-used LGBTQ mobile dating apps on the app store—SCRUFF and Jack’d—we at Perry Street know and feel why these issues matter to our community and to our world.
The values of Perry Street Software have led us to make difficult decisions that separate us from the rest of our industry:
No Facebook login
Perry Street Software intentionally does not integrate with Facebook, Instagram, or other “social login” systems, which users of our app notice when they sign in to their profiles.
No third-party ad networks
In 2018, in response to the advent of new privacy legislation in Europe called
GDPR, Perry Street Software decided to
remove all third party advertising in its apps. This decision continues to cost the company revenue, but simultaneously helps protect our members' identities. Watch a video of our CEO
describing this history.
No selling data
From its inception, Perry Street Software has never shared or sold member lists with third-party data brokers. Read more about the
history behind our decision.

Ultimately,
unlike other companies in Silicon Valley, we are building an app that we ourselves use and share with our friends and loved ones, and that is why we feel the decisions we make as a business uniquely align with the interests of our community.
